Europe Expansion Strategy

"Recording the largest WLTP range deviation and the fastest charging time is strong validation of the technology behind the XPENG X9," said Alex Tang, General Manager of International Business at XPENG. He emphasized that the X9 allows drivers to avoid choosing between long range and fast charging.

The X9 is among XPeng's new models launching in Europe in 2026, with Norway identified as the first market. The company aims to support its growth plans in the region by offering long range, fast charging, and seven-seat premium comfort.

Recent Financial Performance

XPeng reported weaker first-quarter revenue and deliveries, with revenue falling 17.6% year over year to 13.03 billion yuan. Deliveries dropped 33.3% to 62,682 vehicles. Despite these declines, gross margin improved to 20.6%, aided by cost reductions and product mix changes. The operating loss widened to 1.87 billion yuan.

For the second quarter, XPeng expects deliveries of 100,000 to 106,000 vehicles and revenue of 19.6 billion yuan to 20.8 billion yuan, figures that fall below analyst expectations.
