Infleqtion rises as Canaccord, Wedbush see upside
Canaccord Genuity and Wedbush Securities initiated coverage on Infleqtion with Buy and Outperform ratings, respectively, highlighting significant upside potential and a valuation discount relative to peers. The bullish sentiment is driven by Infleqtion's position as a neutral-atom pure-play, policy support including a $100 million Department of Commerce funding proposal, and the launch of America's Quantum Space Initiative.

Infleqtion, Inc. (NYSE: INFQ) shares traded higher on Thursday as investors responded to fresh bullish analyst coverage, even as the broader technology sector weakened. Canaccord Genuity analyst Kingsley Crane initiated coverage on Infleqtion with a Buy rating and a $22 price forecast, implying about 70% upside. This new rating adds to the bullish sentiment surrounding the stock, which Wedbush Securities previously covered with an Outperform rating and a $20 price target. Wedbush analysts identified Infleqtion as the only publicly traded neutral-atom pure-play and the sole company commercializing the full quantum stack—computing, sensing, and software—from a single technology core.
Wedbush said Infleqtion’s valuation gap reflects limited analyst coverage since the stock began trading in February and continued skepticism around neutral-atom quantum technology. Despite holding the second-largest revenue base in the public quantum group, INFQ ranks sixth in valuation. Wedbush attributed this discount to three factors it expects to unwind: neutral atoms are viewed as less proven than rival approaches; the market may treat INFQ as a sensing-only company, undervaluing its compute ambitions; and the stock has traded only since February, resulting in thin coverage and lower liquidity compared to peers. "With no consensus on an eventual modality winner, we view INFQ as one of the most compelling ways to gain exposure to the category," the Wedbush analysts wrote.
The firm also cited policy support for quantum technologies as a potential tailwind following President Donald Trump's June 22 executive order directing federal agencies to accelerate quantum technology development. The policy tailwind includes a provision directing the fielding of at least three quantum sensor projects by September 2028. Infleqtion was selected by the U.S. Department of Commerce for $100 million in proposed funding to develop engineering systems required for large-scale neutral-atom quantum computers. The company recently posted Q1 2026 revenue of $9.5 million, up 14% year over year, and reaffirmed full-year guidance of at least $40 million.
Strategic Initiatives
The heightened focus on the sector coincides with Infleqtion's launch of America's Quantum Space Initiative. This collaboration includes Voyager Technologies, Monarch Quantum, Armada, and the University of Colorado Boulder, focusing on advancing quantum-enabled space capabilities and strengthening partnerships across industry, academia, and government. Commenting on the initiative, Chief Executive Officer Matthew Kinsella said, "The opportunity ahead is bigger than any one company, institution, or discipline. By bringing together innovators from across the ecosystem, we can help unlock the next frontier at the intersection of quantum and space."
Market Reaction
Since listing in February, INFQ shares have lost about 10% of their value. The stock was up 0.62% at $13.01 at the time of publication on Thursday. Recent volatility in quantum computing stocks has been driven by the new federal efforts to elevate quantum technology as a national priority.
