Collaboration with Singareni Collieries
NGEL has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) on November 19, 2025, in Hyderabad. This partnership aims to explore various business opportunities in the renewable energy sector, including:
- Solar, wind, and hybrid projects (with or without storage)
- Green hydrogen and its derivatives
- Green mobility initiatives
The MoU was exchanged in the presence of Sh. N Balram (IRS), Chairman and Managing Director of SCCL, along with other senior officials from both companies.
Commissioning of Khavda-I Solar PV Project
In a separate announcement, NGEL reported the successful commissioning of a part of its Khavda-I Solar PV Project in Gujarat. Key details include:
- 75.5 MW capacity out of the total 1255 MW project has been declared commercially operational
- The project falls under the CPSU scheme Phase-II Tranche-III
- Commercial operation commenced from 00:00 Hrs of November 19, 2025
