Ryde Group Ltd (NYSE: RYDE) has joined the Tencent Cloud Hackathon Singapore 2026 as an industry partner. The company presents a real-world challenge focused on using autonomous multi-agent AI to improve dispute resolution efficiency.
The initiative forms part of the AI Agent Digital Native Track, jointly organized by Tencent Cloud and AI Singapore. Running from September to November 2026, the hackathon invites developers, startup founders, and university students to build practical solutions for business challenges across five tracks.
RydeResolve Challenge
Ryde’s specific challenge, titled "RydeResolve: Multi-Agent Autonomous Dispute Resolution System," asks participants to design agents that gather evidence, evaluate rider and driver perspectives, and apply company policies. The goal is to support fair and transparent outcomes in ride-hailing disputes.
Dispute resolution typically requires reviewing GPS data, trip telemetry, communications, payment records, and historical behavior. Ryde aims to move beyond traditional AI assistants that generate responses toward systems capable of coordinating complex operational workflows.
Agent Architecture
The challenge centers on three specialized agents:
- Rider Advocate Agent
- Driver Advocate Agent
- Impartial Judge Agent
The Judge Agent evaluates evidence, applies relevant policies, and recommends an explainable outcome. Teams must develop end-to-end prototypes handling at least two dispute categories, such as route deviation, no-show charges, property damage, or safety incidents.
Strategic Rationale
Nitin Dolli, Chief Technology Officer of Ryde, described Agentic AI as an evolution toward systems capable of reasoning, coordinating, and executing complex workflows. He noted the opportunity to explore greater automation and faster decision-making.
"Improving operational efficiency through technology can, in turn, support the scalability of our differentiated 0% commission model for private-hire and taxi driver-partners as the platform grows," Dolli said.
Bluefin Jiannan Zhao, Vice President of Tencent Cloud and Managing Director of Tencent Cloud International for Asia Pacific, emphasized talent development. He stated the partnership combines industry use cases with developer creativity to make advanced AI tools accessible.
Evaluation and Timeline
Solutions will be assessed on multi-agent architecture, evidence gathering, fairness, transparency, business impact, and scalability. The prototypes are exploratory, with any future implementation subject to further technical evaluation and testing.
The hackathon concludes with a Demo Day on November 3, 2026, where shortlisted teams will showcase their working solutions.
