Rubrik, the Security and AI Operations Company, today announced the availability of Rubrik Security Cloud on the AWS European Sovereign Cloud. This launch provides the European Union (EU) public sector and highly regulated private organisations with a cloud-native path for sovereign cyber resilience. Organisations in sectors such as banking, utilities, healthcare, and government can now leverage the full power of AWS while meeting stringent data residency requirements within the EU.

The AWS European Sovereign Cloud is a fully featured, independently operated sovereign cloud backed by strong technical controls and sovereign assurances. The availability of Rubrik Security Cloud on this platform allows European enterprises to protect their workloads while aligning with strict compliance frameworks. These include the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) Cloud Computing Compliance Criteria Catalogue (C5), the Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA), and the NIS2 Directive.

Strategic Expansion

Recent Innovations

Today's announcement builds on advanced capabilities introduced at Rubrik Forward 2026. These innovations include Autonomous Business Recovery for automating multi-cloud application reconstruction, Rubrik AI which is an agentic AI system built for cyber recovery, and Identity Resilience Solutions for safeguarding user authentication during identity provider outages.

Rubrik, the Security and AI Operations Company, has joined the Coalition for Health AI (CHAI) to collaborate on cyber resilience and AI governance in healthcare. The partnership aims to advance the responsible development, deployment, and adoption of AI in the health sector. Healthcare organizations face heightened risks, protecting 50% more sensitive data than the global average, with cyberattacks potentially escalating into life-and-death issues by disrupting patient care.

As the healthcare industry accelerates its adoption of AI, safeguarding sensitive patient information and maintaining operational continuity are critical. Rubrik brings its expertise in data protection, cyber resilience, and enterprise AI acceleration to CHAI’s mission. The coalition focuses on fostering collaboration across industry, government, academia, and patient communities to ensure AI innovation is safe and secure.

CHAI has established working groups addressing privacy, security, transparency, usefulness, and safety of AI algorithms. The coalition recently launched its first Model Card registry to support the growth of model cards, or ‘nutrition labels’ for health AI, which simplify procurement for health systems and solution providers. CHAI includes nearly 3,000 organizations, ranging from health systems and patient advocacy groups to academia and technology providers.

Josh Howell, Healthcare Chief Technology Officer at Rubrik, emphasized the importance of strict guardrails and operational recovery for scaling AI responsibly. He stated that Rubrik aims to redefine cyber resilience and governance in collaboration with CHAI. CHAI was started by clinicians and is driven by member engagement and public feedback. The coalition is dedicated to convening dialogue to achieve consensus on responsible AI guidelines. Rubrik’s participation aligns with its focus on securing data, identities, and workloads across clouds while accelerating trusted AI agent deployments.
