Rubrik has been named a Leader and positioned furthest in vision in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Backup and Data Protection Platforms. This recognition marks the seventh consecutive year the company has achieved this status. The designation validates Rubrik's focus on delivering agentic cyber resilience to protect organizations from sophisticated cyber threats and autonomous agent overreach.

Bipul Sinha, CEO, Chairman, and Co-Founder at Rubrik, stated that the company predicted twelve years ago that the greatest threat to enterprise data would be active adversaries and autonomous agents. He noted that legacy backup solutions are no longer sufficient and that organizations require complete cyber resilience spanning data protection, identity resilience, and agent governance.

The company highlighted that organizational recovery timelines often average more than twenty days, while the average breakout time for modern cybercriminals has collapsed to 39 seconds. Traditional security models focusing purely on prevention and detection are failing to keep pace with modern threat vectors.

Rubrik aims to narrow this operational recovery gap through a unified platform designed to protect and recover data, identities, and govern autonomous agents. Rubrik’s Preemptive Recovery works before an attack happens by continuously indexing data, mapping application dependencies, and tracking identity access during standard backups. This allows organizations to immediately locate clean recovery points, assess the blast radius, and execute restorations in minutes.

To address compromised credentials, Rubrik Identity Resilience continuously monitors Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and Okta to surgically isolate attacker persistence while rolling forward authorized transactions. The announcement follows the launch of Rubrik AI, which delivers agentic automation against machine-speed cyber breaches and compromised AI agents.

Rubrik announced an upcoming integration of its Rubrik Agent Cloud (RAC) with Amazon Bedrock AgentCore to secure AI agents. The integration aims to extend security controls into agentic workflows, providing enterprises with a layer of semantic governance and operational resilience. This development allows customers to accelerate and secure the deployment of AI agents on AWS.

Amazon Bedrock AgentCore serves as a platform to build, connect, and optimize agents at scale. Its policy engine enforces real-time, deterministic controls at the gateway across all agent traffic, including agent-to-tool, agent-to-LLM, and agent-to-agent communications. By leveraging Rubrik's real-time, intent-based guardrails, the integration ensures that detection remains probabilistic while enforcement stays deterministic, offering consistent allow-or-deny decisions on every agent's action.

The integration introduces several core capabilities of Rubrik Agent Cloud to organizations using Amazon Bedrock AgentCore. These features are designed to enhance visibility, control, and recovery within AI environments.

Devvret Rishi, General Manager AI at Rubrik, emphasized the importance of safety in the enterprise mandate. "Speed has always been the enterprise mandate, but today, safety is the prerequisite," said Rishi. He noted that cybersecurity leaders estimate half or more of attacks they face will be driven by agentic AI in the next year. The integration provides enterprises with the confidence to deploy AI agents quickly with trustworthy governance.

This upcoming integration marks Rubrik's latest advancement in securing AI workloads for AWS customers. Existing RAC customers will be able to connect their policies to AgentCore and seamlessly apply SAGE native language policies to block risky actions.
