Premier has appointed two new executives to lead its enterprise artificial intelligence and product strategies. The moves aim to accelerate the company’s evolution into an integrated, AI-first healthcare performance improvement provider.
Florian Quarré joins as Chief AI and Analytics Officer, while Matthew Zubiller, FACHE, takes on the role of Chief Business and Product Officer. Both report directly to Dr. Emad Rizk, Premier’s President, CEO, and Chairman of the Board.
Strategic Leadership Shifts
The appointments target two core capabilities: delivering actionable intelligence and building a connected portfolio of solutions for healthcare providers. Dr. Rizk stated that the company possesses unmatched healthcare data, national scale, and deep expertise.
"Our opportunity is to bring those assets together in entirely new ways to deliver greater value for healthcare providers," Rizk said. He noted that Quarré and Zubiller will help embed AI across the organization and build integrated solutions that translate capabilities into measurable results.
Executive Profiles
Quarré will oversee Premier’s enterprise AI, data, analytics, and technology strategy, including a new AI & Analytics Center of Excellence. His mandate involves accelerating the shift to an AI-first organization by harnessing data to help members uncover opportunities and anticipate risks.
Quarré brings over 20 years of experience in healthcare, AI, and transformation. Previously, he served as Senior Partner and Head of Digital Transformation at HealthScape Advisors. His prior roles include senior leadership positions at PwC, Ciox Health, ExponentialAI, and Deloitte.
Zubiller will lead product operations and enterprise strategy. He is tasked with identifying pressing needs for healthcare providers and prioritizing investments in solutions that deliver measurable member and business value.
With 30 years of experience in healthcare, technology, and services, Zubiller previously served as CEO and Board Member of Your Behavioral Health and CEO of e4health. He also held executive roles at McKesson/Change Healthcare, AMN Healthcare, and Smile Brands.
What the Numbers Show
The dual appointments signal a structural realignment toward technology-led value creation. By separating AI/analytics leadership from general product operations, Premier is explicitly decoupling its data infrastructure strategy from its commercial product roadmap. This suggests an intent to treat AI not merely as a feature within existing products, but as a foundational layer driving both operational efficiency and new solution development.
Broader Evolution
These hires are part of a broader effort to make Premier faster, simpler, and more integrated. The company is modernizing its technology portfolio and creating Centers of Excellence to harness data and AI across supply chain, clinical, operational, and financial domains.
Rizk emphasized that members face extraordinary pressure to improve performance while delivering high-quality care. "We are building Premier around that reality — combining our scale, data, technology and expertise to become an even stronger performance partner to healthcare," he added.
