Distinguished Career in Public Service
Amitabh Kant, aged 69, brings a wealth of experience to HCLTech's board. Most recently, he served as India's G20 Sherpa, playing a pivotal role in the country's G20 Presidency from 2022 to 2023. His leadership culminated in the unanimous adoption of the New Delhi Leaders' Declaration, which addressed critical global issues including economic growth, digital infrastructure, and climate finance.
Impressive Track Record
Kant's illustrious career spans key senior positions in the Government of India. He served as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Institution for Transforming India (NITI Aayog) for over six years. During his tenure, he spearheaded transformative initiatives such as the Aspirational Districts Program, aimed at uplifting India's most underdeveloped districts.
His contributions extend to various sectors, including:
