The Transpacific Future Center (TPFC) has established its permanent headquarters in Washington, D.C., creating a dedicated hub for dialogue and collaboration across the transpacific region. This expansion is supported by a $3 million operating endowment provided by Evermay, which also donated the historic Jefferson Place property to ensure TPFC's long-term institutional growth. The new headquarters will serve as a base for the organization to support leaders addressing shared challenges and opportunities in the region.

Evermay, described as an Embassy for the Future, facilitated the initiative to harness historical wisdom for future benefit. The transformational gift includes the property and the financial endowment to secure the center's operations. TPFC aims to use this permanent home to deepen its work and build partnerships that contribute to a more prosperous and connected transpacific region.

The United States-Japan Foundation has agreed to become the anchor tenant in the TPFC building. Jake Schlesinger, President and CEO of the United States-Japan Foundation, expressed enthusiasm for the vision laid out by TPFC leadership. The foundation is an independent philanthropic organization focused on strengthening bilateral ties and addressing shared challenges between the two nations.

"This milestone marks an important new chapter for TPFC," said Danielle Reed, Executive Director of the Transpacific Future Center. She emphasized that the permanent location allows the organization to convene diverse perspectives and create programs that deliver lasting value throughout the transpacific region.

TPFC will continue expanding its programming from the Washington headquarters. A key initiative includes the U.S-Japan Innovation and Entrepreneurship Fellowship, which is supported by the Japan Foundation. This fellowship is part of the center's broader efforts to foster international cultural exchange and leadership development across sectors.
