Shree Refrigerations has successfully installed mission-critical air conditioning plants on INS Dunagiri and INS Agray, two of the three warships commissioned into the Indian Navy by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Kolkata. The systems have been type-tested and commissioned for onboard operational use, reinforcing the company's role in the defence sector.
Project Execution Update
The commissioning ceremony was held at Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE) in Kolkata on June 22, 2026. This event marked the induction of INS Dunagiri, INS Agray, and INS Sandhayak into the Indian Navy. This is the second instance in the Navy's history that three ships were commissioned together, following the induction of INS Nilgiri, INS Surat, and INS Vaghsheer in January 2025.
Shree Refrigerations had previously supplied AC plants to two of the three platforms commissioned in January 2025, specifically INS Nilgiri and INS Vaghsheer.

He highlighted that this achievement supports the nation's vision of self-reliance under Atmanirbhar Bharat.
To support this growth, the company inaugurated a new 50,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility, which more than doubles its production capacity. This expansion aims to bolster the company's commitment to the Indian Navy and the defence ecosystem through indigenous manufacturing.
