Bansal Wire Industries Limited has confirmed the credit of sub-divided equity shares following a 1:5 split. The company’s outstanding equity share count rose to 78.27 crore from 15.65 crore, effective October 17, 2026.

The corporate action converted one equity share with a face value of ₹5 into five equity shares with a face value of ₹1 each. This subdivision was executed by KFIN Technologies Limited, the company’s registrar and transfer agent.

Share capital structure post-split

The total authorized and paid-up share capital remained unchanged as the face value reduction was offset by the increase in share count. The details of the capital structure before and after the split are outlined below:

Type of capital Before split (No. of shares) After split (No. of shares) Face value (₹)
Authorized equity shares 17,80,00,000 89,00,00,000 1
Paid-up equity shares 15,65,55,952 78,27,79,760 1
Preference shares 10,00,000 10,00,000 10

Depository confirmations

Both National Securities Depositories Limited (NSDL) and Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL) issued confirmation letters regarding the credit of shares. The new shares are listed under a fresh ISIN distinct from the previous one used for the ₹5 face value shares.

NSDL reported debiting 14.34 crore old shares and crediting 71.70 crore new shares across 14,319 records. CDSL processed the transaction for 39,167 records, crediting 6.57 crore new shares against the debit of 1.31 crore old shares held in its system.

What the numbers show

The data highlights a mechanical adjustment rather than a change in valuation or capital base. While the number of outstanding equity shares expanded fivefold to 78.27 crore, the total paid-up equity capital remained static at ₹78.27 crore. This indicates that the market capitalization of the company remains theoretically unaffected by the split itself, serving primarily to enhance liquidity by lowering the per-share price point for retail investors.
