Aggreko has extended its partnership with the Western Golf Association (WGA) and the Evans Scholars Foundation (ESF) for a third year. The global energy solutions provider will serve as the official power and cooling partner for the 2026 BMW Championship, held at Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis, Missouri, from August 18–23.

As part of this renewed collaboration, Aggreko is designated as the Official Military Appreciation partner for the event. This role includes providing complimentary ticket opportunities for U.S. military veterans and active service members. The company will also deploy air conditioners, generators, and battery energy storage systems (BESS) to meet the tournament’s power and temperature control requirements.

Strategic Focus on Veteran Support

The partnership underscores Aggreko’s broader commitment to veteran outreach. Don Gray, Event Sales Leader for Aggreko North America, highlighted the significance of the timing, noting it coincides with America’s 250th anniversary. "It’s an honor to be returning to the BMW Championship in support of our country’s veterans," Gray said. "Continuing this partnership with WGA and ESF has been a pleasure and a key part of our veteran and youth outreach efforts."

Beyond event sponsorship, Aggreko actively recruits from the military population, citing the suitability of veterans’ expertise for its workforce. Interested individuals can access career opportunities through the company’s dedicated veterans portal.

Educational Initiatives

The collaboration also supports youth education through the Evans Scholars Foundation. Since 1930, the foundation has assisted more than 13,000 youth caddies in attending college. Aggreko contributes to this mission through the Aggreko Energy Solutions Evans Scholarship, which awards full tuition and housing to a high-achieving youth caddie every four years.

Sean Raadsen, a junior studying Aerospace Engineering at the University of Illinois Chicago, was named the first recipient of this specific scholarship award. Raadsen is an accomplished caddie at Crystal Lake Country Club in Illinois.

Operational Scope

Aggreko has previously provided power, heating, and cooling services for other PGA TOUR events, including THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson and the 2025 BMW Championship. The company’s involvement in the 2026 event involves the installation and operation of comprehensive energy infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted tournament operations.

Vince Pellegrino, Senior Vice President of Tournaments at WGA, emphasized the shared belief in golf’s ability to inspire educational pursuits. "We’re pleased to partner with Aggreko, a company that shares our belief in the power of golf to inspire young people to pursue a college education," Pellegrino said.
