Vipul Organics has commenced commercial production at its new greenfield manufacturing facility located in Sayakha, Gujarat. The company marked the occasion with a formal Muhurat ceremony on August 20, 2026. As part of this operational development, pigment production that was previously undertaken at the company's Tarapur facility in Maharashtra has been moved to the new Sayakha location as part of a broader footprint-rationalisation exercise.

Production shift to Sayakha

The transition marks a consolidation of Vipul Organics' pigment manufacturing operations, with the Sayakha facility now taking over the production activities that were earlier based at Tarapur. The commencement of production at the new facility represents a significant operational milestone for the company, strengthening its pigment manufacturing capacities with infrastructure designed to progressively scale up in line with market demand.

Parameter: Details
New facility location: Sayakha, Gujarat
Production status: Commenced (commercial)
Production shifted from: Tarapur, Maharashtra
Product type: Pigments
Annual capacity potential: ~3,600 MT
Initial phase production: ~1,800 MT

Facility details and strategic positioning

The Sayakha facility is set up on an industrial plot of 24,633.11 square meters acquired from the Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC), within Gujarat's Petroleum, Chemicals and Petrochemicals Investment Region (PCPIR). Strategically located on the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor, close to the proposed Dedicated Freight Corridor and adjacent to Dahej Port, the facility is positioned to strengthen the company's reach across both domestic and export markets.

The site is being developed as a consolidated manufacturing base. Alongside pigment powder, it hosts the membrane manufacturing operations of the company's unit, AdiMem Technologies, which commenced commercial sales of Reverse Osmosis (RO) and Ultrafiltration (UF) membranes earlier this year.

Mr. Vipul P. Shah, Managing Director, stated that the facility is built to expand pigment powder capacity and bring membrane and solvent dyes capabilities under one roof. He noted that as production stabilises over the coming quarters, Sayakha is expected to be a meaningful contributor to capacity and revenue diversification.
