Giridhar Aramane is a 1988-batch Indian Administrative Service officer from the Andhra Pradesh cadre. He served as Defence Secretary from November 1, 2022, until his retirement on October 31, 2024.

His career includes roles in the Cabinet Secretariat, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, and Insurance Regulatory & Development Authority. In the Andhra Pradesh government, he served as Principal Secretary in Urban Development and Secretary in the Finance Department.
