Rolex Rings delivered a 22% year-on-year increase in profit after tax (PAT) to ₹60.2 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 (Q1FY27), driven by robust demand in automotive components. During its earnings call on August 6, 2026, management clarified that temporary labor shortages constrained output earlier in the quarter but have since normalized. The firm reaffirmed its mid-teen revenue growth guidance for FY27, citing a healthy order book and re-engaging export customers.
The results were disclosed pursuant to Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. Hardik Dhimantbhai Gandhi, Company Secretary and Compliance Officer, signed the intimation dated August 12, 2026. Segment Dynamics and Operational Updates
Auto components revenue surged 13.5% to ₹163 crore, while bearing rings declined 6% to ₹118 crore. The softness in bearing rings was concentrated in the domestic industrial segment, particularly in high-volume, larger-size components. In contrast, auto components, which are predominantly export-oriented (72% of segment revenue), saw renewed confidence from overseas buyers who had been cautious during fiscal 2026 due to tariff uncertainties.
Management addressed the labor shortage that impacted production in April and May 2026, attributing it to seasonal factors including summer heat, wedding season, and agricultural cycles affecting out-of-state labor. Doshi confirmed operations normalized from June 2026 onwards. Utilization levels stood at 63-65%, with a target of 70-72% for FY27.
Strategic Outlook and Capital Allocation
Looking ahead, Rolex Rings expects auto component exports to reach between ₹425 crore and ₹450 crore in FY27, up from ₹350 crore in FY26. A key driver is the recovery of business with US customer Allison Transmission, which had declined significantly in FY26 but is now recovering towards FY25 levels. Initial discussions have also begun with Dana following its acquisition by Allison, though revenue impact is expected in 12-18 months.
The company concluded a ₹180 crore share buyback in Q1FY27, with promoters opting out to benefit public shareholders. Remaining debt-free with cash reserves of ₹367 crore as of March 2026, management indicated potential future capital returns via dividends or further buybacks. Additionally, the company is exploring joint ventures with overseas players to leverage value-added processes and is initiating registrations for defense and aerospace segments, expecting initial traction within 12 months.
What the Numbers Show
The divergence between revenue growth (4.3%) and margin expansion (EBITDA +100 bps, PAT +290 bps) highlights the structural shift towards higher-value auto components. Despite volume constraints from labor issues, the company maintained pricing power and operational discipline. The normalization of labor supply combined with re-engaging export customers positions Rolex Rings to convert its healthy order book into accelerated revenue growth in Q2FY27 and beyond.
