Protean eGov Technologies Ltd signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the North East Centre for Technology Application and Reach (NECTAR) on July 3, 2026, to jointly undertake projects in digital governance, ICT, and geospatial technologies. The collaboration focuses on technology-enabled socio-economic development in the North Eastern Region. The agreement combines Protean's experience in building population-scale digital public infrastructure with NECTAR's expertise in technology applications and regional development.

Partnership Details

The MoU establishes a framework for identifying and implementing transformative projects that enhance public service delivery and address last-mile development challenges. By leveraging complementary strengths, the entities aim to accelerate the adoption of innovative and scalable technology solutions for public good. The partnership will also explore opportunities in capacity building and socio-economic development through technology.

Agreement Structure

The agreement is valid for a tenure of 5 years from the date of execution. There are no shareholding arrangements or special rights, such as the appointment of directors or restrictions on capital structure, associated with this transaction. The parties are not related to the promoter or promoter group of the company.

Protean eGov Technologies has re-designated Dr. Harpreet Singh Anand as Chief Human Resources Officer and Chief Growth & Marketing Officer (CHRO & CGMO) effective June 22, 2026. The Nomination & Remuneration Committee approved the proposal via a circular resolution on the same date. This change reflects the addition of marketing responsibilities to his existing role, allowing him to oversee brand, communications, and market engagement functions.

The re-designation was disclosed to the stock exchanges pursuant to Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. The company stated that the change in role is due to Anand taking up additional responsibilities. He previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resource Officer.

Anand has over two decades of experience across human resources, business transformation, and organizational growth. Before joining Protean, he worked with organisations such as ICICI Prudential, Aditya Birla Group, India Post Payments Bank, and Kotak Life Insurance. At India Post Payments Bank, he led a digital workforce transformation for over 300,000 postal employees and served as Head Marketing from December 2019 to October 2021.

At Kotak Life Insurance, Anand delivered the onboarding of 6,000 employees in a single year. He holds an honorary Ph.D. in HR Management from Cambridge Digital University (US) and a B-Tech in Plastics. He is a certified coach from the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and has received several awards, including the Bharat Gaurav Ratna Shri Samman in 2023 and the BW People Iconic HR Leaders Under 50 Award in 2026.
