Polyplex Corporation has announced a capacity expansion at its material subsidiary, Polyplex (Thailand) Public Company Limited (PTL), adding 12,000 MT/year of production capability at an investment of $15.2 million.

Equipment sourcing and related party disclosure
The main equipment for the project, the film line, is being acquired from Taghleef Industries Inc., USA. The cost of the line itself is approximately USD 2.91 million. Taghleef Industries is wholly and indirectly owned by Al Ghurair Petrochemicals LLC, UAE.
Al Ghurair Petrochemicals LLC is also an indirect major shareholder of PTL, as per local regulations. The acquired line has been in operation for about two years prior to this transaction. The board of Polyplex Corporation sanctioned this capital outlay to support the capacity expansion at the Thailand facility, broadening the product scope at the site.
