Kunststoffe Industries reported Q1FY27 standalone results showing a 35% year-on-year decline in net profit to ₹29.16 lakh, despite a 36.7% increase in revenue to ₹417.78 lakh. The margin compression was driven by a 58.7% surge in material costs and a 41% fall in other income. EPS dropped to ₹0.42 from ₹0.65. Kunststoffe Industries Limited reported a net profit of ₹29.16 lakh for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, a decline of 35% compared to ₹44.87 lakh in the corresponding period of FY26. Despite the dip in profitability, the polymer processing firm saw its revenue from operations rise significantly to ₹417.78 lakh, up from ₹305.69 lakh year-on-year.
The results were approved by the Board of Directors at a meeting held on August 14, 2026. M/s Akshay Kirtikumar & Associates LLP, the statutory auditors, issued a limited review report on the standalone financial statements prepared under Ind AS 34 and SEBI LODR regulations.
Financial Performance
Revenue growth was broad-based, with net sales increasing by over 36% year-on-year. However, this top-line expansion did not translate proportionally into bottom-line gains due to rising input costs.
| Metric | Q1FY27 | Q1FY26 | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Revenue from Operations | ₹417.78 lakh | ₹305.69 lakh | +36.7% |
| Cost of Material Consumed | ₹284.87 lakh | ₹179.56 lakh | +58.7% |
| Other Income | ₹10.82 lakh | ₹18.35 lakh | -41.0% |
| Net Profit After Tax | ₹29.16 lakh | ₹44.87 lakh | -35.0% |
Profit before tax stood at ₹38.88 lakh, compared to ₹60.87 lakh in Q1FY26. The current tax expense for the quarter was ₹9.72 lakh. Earnings per share (basic) came in at ₹0.42, down from ₹0.65 in the previous year’s first quarter.
What the Numbers Show
A key divergence in the filing is the disparity between revenue growth and cost inflation. While revenue rose by approximately 37%, the cost of materials consumed surged by nearly 59%. This indicates that input cost pressures outpaced pricing power or volume leverage during the quarter, directly compressing operating margins. Additionally, other income declined by 41%, further weighing on the bottom line despite the robust sales growth.
Corporate Actions
The Board also considered and approved the Notice of Annual General Meeting, Directors' Report, Management Discussion & Analysis Report, and Secretarial Audit Report for FY26. The 40th Annual General Meeting is scheduled for September 29, 2026, at 9:30 am at Hotel Ocean Inn in Nani Daman, Daman and Diu.
M/s Ritesh Sharma & Associates, Company Secretary in Practice, Mumbai, has been appointed as the Scrutinizer for the AGM voting process. The financial results have been published in newspapers as per Regulation 47 of the SEBI LODR.
