Kothari Industrial Corporation Limited has secured a service contract worth ₹1.59 crore from Southern Railway for wagon repair shop operations. The contract was awarded on July 18, 2026, through the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) by the Office of the Chief Workshop Manager, Carriage & Wagon Workshop, Perambur. This order strengthens the company's engagement with the Indian Railways, a key client in the infrastructure sector.

The agreement entails the hiring of five diesel-operated forklift trucks with a capacity of 3 tons each. In addition to the equipment, the scope includes the provision of drivers, material handling staff, and one supervisor to manage operations at the wagon repair shop. The services are scheduled to commence on or before July 21, 2026.

The contract duration is set for 600 working days from the date of commencement, as per the terms and conditions of the GeM Contract. The company confirmed that the transaction does not involve any related party interests and is at arm's length. The awarding entity is a domestic government body.

Evervan Kothari Footwear Private Limited, a subsidiary of Phoenix Kothari Footwear Private Limited, is establishing a state-of-the-art footwear manufacturing facility in Karur, Tamil Nadu. The unit will manufacture Adidas footwear. The ground breaking ceremony for this facility is scheduled for July 10, 2026, and will be attended by the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
