CrowdStrike and Schwarz Digits today announced an expansion of their strategic partnership to deliver the AI-native Falcon platform to European enterprises on STACKIT, Schwarz Digits' sovereign cloud. The partnership includes a multi-year roadmap to extend access for customers across the region. As part of the agreement, CrowdStrike signed a definitive agreement to acquire the intellectual property of XM Cyber, a Schwarz Digits company known for its attack path visualization and offensive simulation technologies.

The acquisition of XM Cyber's intellectual property includes more than 45 patents and proprietary source code. CrowdStrike will not acquire any revenue or customers as part of this transaction. XM Cyber will continue to operate and support its existing customers as a standalone business under an intellectual property license from CrowdStrike. The transaction is expected to close in the second half of CrowdStrike's fiscal year 2027, subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals.

Falcon Exposure Management and Sovereign Cloud

The partnership aims to provide European organizations with cybersecurity solutions that meet sovereignty requirements without compromising on security outcomes. Schwarz Digits will internally deploy the Falcon platform and provide a roadmap to host it on STACKIT, its sovereign cloud infrastructure operated within the European Union. This initiative addresses regulatory requirements such as the EU Cyber Resilience Act and NIS2.

Falcon Exposure Management is designed to secure organizations in the frontier AI era by replacing traditional vulnerability management with continuous, real-time visibility across the attack surface. The platform prioritizes risks based on real-world exploitability. According to an IDC Business Value study, organizations replace an average of five point tools with the single, real-time view of risk provided by the Falcon platform.

Strategic Roadmap and Customer Access

XM Cyber customers will have the opportunity to adopt the Falcon platform through Falcon Flex. The collaboration combines CrowdStrike's AI-native platform with Schwarz Digits' scale and local presence to offer European enterprises a path to modern security on sovereign infrastructure. The phased roadmap will deliver Falcon on STACKIT, aiming to advance European digital independence.

Aspect Details
Partnership CrowdStrike and Schwarz Digits
Platform Falcon platform on STACKIT sovereign cloud
Acquisition XM Cyber intellectual property
Assets Acquired More than 45 patents and proprietary source code
Closing Timeline Second half of CrowdStrike's fiscal year 2027

How will the integration of XM Cyber’s attack path visualization technology enhance CrowdStrike's competitive edge in the exposure management market?

CrowdStrike has appointed AJ Shipley as Chief Product Officer to lead its product organization and accelerate innovation across the CrowdStrike Falcon platform. Shipley joins from Splunk Security, where he served as Chief Product Officer, and brings over two decades of experience in building category-defining cybersecurity products. His appointment is aimed at advancing the company’s mission of stopping breaches and securing the world’s adoption of AI.

As organizations deploy AI, every agent, model, and agentic workflow becomes a new attack surface, identity to govern, and endpoint to secure. This creates demands for using AI to defend the enterprise through the agentic SOC and securing the AI enterprises depend on. Shipley will extend CrowdStrike’s lead in securing the agentic era by building on the architectural advantage that made Falcon the platform of record for endpoint, identity, cloud, and next-gen SIEM.

"Our platform advantage is structural: the sensor network, the telemetry, and the closed-loop system of real-time intelligence and expert validation that no one else can match," said George Kurtz, CEO and founder of CrowdStrike. "AI executes on the endpoint, and as the pioneer of EDR, we are uniquely positioned to capture the greatest tailwind cybersecurity has ever seen: securing the AI enterprises deploy. AJ is one of the most accomplished builders in our industry, and he is the right leader to seize an opportunity this large."

Shipley’s Background

Shipley previously led product management for Cisco's Threat Detection and Response portfolio, spanning XDR, EDR, NDR, email security, and vulnerability management. He built Cisco XDR from the ground up and drove the due diligence and investment thesis behind the company’s $28 billion acquisition of Splunk. Earlier, he held senior product leadership roles at Palo Alto Networks.

"No company has done more to stop breaches and thwart the adversary than CrowdStrike," said Shipley. "Now there is a bigger opportunity in front of us: securing how the world adopts AI. Falcon's unified architecture is uniquely built to deliver the speed, scale, and simplicity organizations need to secure the agentic enterprise."

About CrowdStrike

CrowdStrike, a global cybersecurity leader, has redefined modern security with the world’s most advanced cloud-native platform for protecting critical areas of enterprise risk – endpoints and cloud workloads, identity and data. Powered by the CrowdStrike Security Cloud and world-class AI, the Falcon platform leverages real-time indicators of attack, threat intelligence, and enriched telemetry to deliver hyper-accurate detections, automated protection, and remediation.
