BLT, an embedded engineering design services company, has been recognized by AMD with its two highest partner honors: AMD Premier Embedded Partner of the Year and AMD Outstanding Authorized Training Provider (Large) of the Year. This marks a historic first within the AMD partner ecosystem, as BLT is the only partner to have earned both awards in the same year. The awards highlight BLT's dual impact in delivering embedded engineering solutions and enabling engineering teams through technical education.
The recognition underscores BLT’s achievements across embedded engineering, including work on Mars missions and development of initial prototypes for HDTV and consumer satellite radio. Current efforts include software-defined radio (SDR), orbital synthetic aperture RADAR (SAR), and electronic warfare at the tactical edge. BLT has collaborated with AMD since the beginning, founded by an original Xilinx (now AMD) FAE.
Award Details
The AMD Embedded partner ecosystem includes over 450 global partners. BLT’s recognition across both categories reflects its technical capabilities and training scale.

Strategic Expansion
Experiencing steady growth, BLT recently opened its Innovation Center on Florida's Space Coast to complement its Columbia, Maryland headquarters. The expansion increases the company's capacity to support more than 90 engineers and technical professionals across both locations. BLT supports organizations ranging from leading aerospace and defense companies to emerging technology firms, helping accelerate development using AMD FPGAs, adaptive SoCs, embedded software, and embedded x86 platforms.
"BLT’s Clients engage our engineers to address the industry's most demanding challenges across space, aerospace and defense, and intelligence applications," said Ed McCauley, BLT President and Founder.
