Apollo Micro Systems has been awarded the Transfer of Technology (ToT) for the Semi Active Laser Homing System (SALHS). The announcement was made on September 16, 2026, during VIMARSH 2026 in New Delhi.

The award was presented in the presence of Defence Minister Rajnath Singh. This development strengthens the company's portfolio of indigenous precision-guided defence technologies. It supports its strategy to manufacture advanced mission-critical defence systems.

Strategic Milestone

The SALHS provides in-flight guidance to munitions towards laser-designated targets. The system detects reflected and scattered laser radiation from the intended target. This technology enables real-time course correction and enhanced target engagement.

The company highlighted that SALHS can be integrated into multiple missile and munition platforms. This expands its capabilities in missile warfare and precision-strike accuracy. The ToT arrangement is part of India's push for technological self-reliance in defence.

MIGM Programme Update

During the same event, Apollo Micro Systems held a handing-over ceremony for the Multi-Influence Ground Mine (MIGM), also known as Vighana. The Ministry of Defence has already accorded Acceptance of Necessity (AoN) for the programme.

The Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) approved the programme on July 3, 2026. The project is now entering the production phase. As an approved production agency under the Defence Corridor Production Policy (DcPP) by DRDO, the company will execute every aspect in-house. This includes fibers, electronics, and explosives, ensuring complete supply chain independence.

The dual progress on both the SALHS ToT and the MIGM production phase indicates a broadening revenue base for Apollo Micro Systems. While the SALHS award represents a new technology acquisition with potential multi-platform integration, the MIGM approval signals immediate transition from development to manufacturing. This combination suggests a shift towards scaled indigenous production rather than solely R&D-driven growth.

Apollo Micro Systems will host a physical meeting with institutional investors and analysts on September 22, 2026. The event is part of the Anand Rathi Annual Flagship Conference G-200 Summit 2026 in Mumbai.
