Alcoa Corporation (NYSE: AA) began construction of a gallium production plant in Western Australia today. The facility is co-located at the company’s Wagerup alumina refinery and represents a joint effort with the governments of Australia, Japan, and the United States to diversify global supply chains for the critical mineral.
