Air Canada has ratified a new four-year collective agreement with the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAMAW), covering 11,000 employees in its Technical Operations, Maintenance and Operational Support (TMOS) group. The agreement is effective from April 1, 2026, to March 31, 2030, and includes employees in Technical Operations, Airports and Cargo, Logistics and Supply, and Cabin Services. This ratification concludes negotiations with all major unions following the expiration of previous long-term contracts.
Michael Rousseau, President and Chief Executive Officer at Air Canada, emphasized the shared objective of reaching meaningful agreements that support employees and the company's growth. He noted that the agreements position Air Canada to advance its New Frontiers strategic plans and deliver greater value to stakeholders. The IAMAW represents more than 11,000 employees across TMOS, Finance, and Clerical through three separate contracts.
