Semtech Corporation (NASDAQ: SMTC) has begun production of the LR2022 and LR2012 transceivers, expanding its LoRa Plus family to address a broader spectrum of Internet of Things (IoT) deployment requirements. The launch brings the total number of production-ready transceivers in the LoRa Plus portfolio to three.

The new devices extend the company's offerings from cost-optimized sub-GHz sensors to global multi-band non-terrestrial network (NTN) tracking. Both the LR2022 and LR2012 utilize the same fourth-generation LoRa IP core as the existing LR2021, ensuring backward compatibility with LoRaWAN, LR-FHSS, and legacy OOK devices.

Technical Specifications

The transceivers feature best-in-class radio sensitivity and extended data rates. They support up to 125 Kbps for LoRa applications and 2 Mbps for FSK applications.
