The stock had plunged 10.52% in Thursday's premarket trading to $27.32 after reporting third-quarter fiscal 2026 results that beat estimates but highlighted margin pressures.

Market Reaction and Technical Setup

The rebound came after a sharp initial reaction to the earnings release. On Thursday, the stock fell 3.8% to $29.33 during regular session trading before dropping further in premarket hours. By Friday, buyers stepped in to take advantage of the lower price, supported by recent analyst upgrades.

From a technical perspective, HPQ remains in a constructive longer-term setup. The stock trades above its 20-day, 50-day, 100-day, and 200-day moving averages. Following the results, several analysts revised their outlooks for HP shares:
