Technichem Organics Limited has secured Prior Environmental Clearance from the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MOEF&CC) for its proposed synthetic organic chemicals manufacturing project. The clearance was granted under the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Notification, 2006, issued under the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986.

Project Details and Location

The approved project will be established at the company's industrial plot located at GIDC Saykha, Bharuch, Gujarat. The facility has been classified under Category B1 and falls within Schedule 5(f) for synthetic organic chemicals industry under the EIA Notification framework.

Manufacturing Portfolio

The project involves manufacturing 29 different synthetic organic chemical products with a total production capacity of 500 MT/Month. Key products include:

• Para Amino Benzamide (Rbase) - Building block in pharmaceuticals
• 1(3-Sulfo Phenyl)-3 Methyl 5-Pyrazolone - Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents
• 3-Amino 5-Methyl Pyrazole - Anti-inflammatory applications
• Cyanine Blue Disperse Dye - Industrial dye applications
• Malononitrile - Used in manufacturing vitamins, agrochemicals, pharmaceuticals, and dyes

The facility will operate with one manufacturing plant, with a maximum of two products manufactured simultaneously at any given time.

Water Management Requirements

The project must treat industrial effluent through primary and tertiary ETP systems, with 85 KLD processed through in-house MEE and 75 KLD sent to CETP-Saykha for further treatment.

The facility must implement specific air pollution control systems:

• Steam Boiler and TFH: Multi Cyclone + Bag Filter + Water Scrubber
• Sulphonation Reaction Vessels: Two Stage Scrubber (Water and Alkali)
• Nitration Reaction Vessels: Two Stage Scrubber for NO2 control
• Chlorination Process: Two Stage Scrubber for Cl2 management

Corporate Environmental Responsibility

As part of the clearance conditions, Technichem Organics must implement Corporate Environmental Responsibility (CER) activities worth Rs. 33 Lakhs. The planned initiative involves installing 66 KW solar panels at Panchayat Office and Village School in Village Vahial, Sutrel.

Regulatory Timeline and Validity

The environmental clearance process involved multiple regulatory meetings:

• SEAC Gujarat recommendation: 29-11-2025 (based on 1185th meeting held on 10-11-2025)
• SEIAA consideration: 406th meeting (03-12-2025), 424th meeting (30-12-2025), and 472nd meeting (24-02-2026)
• Clearance date: 02/03/2026
• Validity period: Ten years from date of issue

The clearance enables the company to proceed with project development and implementation, subject to strict compliance with all stipulated environmental, safety, and operational conditions. The project must also obtain additional permissions from relevant authorities including GPCB, PESO, and fire safety authorities before commencing operations.
