Konaseema District Joint Collector T Nisanthi confirmed the successful resolution of the crisis. "The fire is extinguished. Almost no flames now. Blowout (was) fully controlled this (Saturday) morning only," she stated. The incident began on January 5 when a gas leak triggered a massive blowout near Mori and Irusumanda villages.
