President Donald Trump announced Saturday he intends to appoint a new artificial intelligence adviser and establish an "AI force" to oversee the sector. In a separate move, he launched a public poll asking users to choose a replacement name for "artificial intelligence," which he described as "inaccurate, and very ineloquent."

Naming Poll Details

Trump posted on Truth Social and X on Saturday, offering three options: "Superior Intelligence," "Extreme Intelligence," and "Supreme Intelligence." Early results showed "Superior Intelligence" leading on both platforms.

On Truth Social, "Superior Intelligence" received 41% of more than 64,000 votes, compared with 38% for "Extreme Intelligence" and 21% for "Supreme Intelligence." On X, "Superior Intelligence" led with 41.4% of more than 226,000 votes, followed by "Supreme Intelligence" at 30.8% and "Extreme Intelligence" at 27.8%.

Trump later removed "Supreme Intelligence" from the poll, citing its relationship to the Supreme Court, and launched a new vote between the remaining two names. The second poll showed "Superior Intelligence" ahead on both platforms, though results remained live.

Advisory Team Reshuffling

The appointment marks Trump's second person to serve as AI czar. Venture capitalist David Sacks held the position before departing in spring for an external advisory role. Sacks has argued that AI developers, not federal regulators, should bear responsibility for product safety.
