Mr. Madhan requested relief from his duties due to health concerns, seeking a waiver of the notice period based on his medical situation. The company management approved the request in a letter dated September 7, 2026.

Rajshree Sugars & Chemicals reported a 27% year-on-year increase in consolidated sugar sales for August 2026, driven by higher crushing activity across its three manufacturing units. The company crushed 2,68,027 MT of sugarcane during the month, up from 2,13,188 MT in August 2025.

The operational data, filed with stock exchanges on September 7, 2026, shows that total sugar production reached 19,391 MT in August 2026, compared to 16,381 MT in the same period last year. Sales volumes stood at 11,873 MT, reflecting improved off-take despite the seasonal lull typically seen in late summer months.

Unit-wise Performance

Unit II in Villupuram district remained the largest contributor, accounting for over half of the group's cane crushing volume. It processed 1,28,675 MT of cane, producing 9,624 MT of sugar. Unit III followed with 94,821 MT of cane crushed and 7,005 MT of sugar produced. Unit I in Theni district contributed 44,531 MT of cane crushing and 3,762 MT of sugar production.

Cogeneration and Molasses Output

Power generation from cogeneration plants totaled 384.29 lakh units in August 2026. Of this, 163.52 lakh units were consumed captive, while 220.77 lakh units were exported to the grid. Molasses production reached 14,729 MT, with 9,619 MT utilized for own consumption or sold.

What the Numbers Show

Sugar sales growth outpaced production growth in August 2026, indicating inventory drawdown or efficient working capital management. While production rose 18.4% YoY, sales expanded by 26.1%, suggesting the company is clearing existing stockpiles alongside fresh output. This divergence is particularly notable at Unit III, where sales (6,453 MT) significantly exceeded production (7,005 MT) compared to the prior year's lower sales volume (1,206 MT).
