NMDC Limited has fixed the prices of its iron ore products effective September 9, 2026. The company announced rates for both lump ore and fines, marking a routine price revision for its mineral output.

The pricing decision was communicated to stock exchanges under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015. The new rates apply to shipments and sales commencing from the specified date.

Price Fixation Details

NMDC disclosed the following prices for its key iron ore categories:

Product Type Specification Price (₹ per ton)
Lump Ore 65.5%, 10-40mm 5,400
Fines 64%, -10mm 4,500

These are Free on Rail (FOR) prices. They exclude royalty, DMF, NMEDT, cess, forest permit fees, transit fees, GST, environmental cess, and other applicable taxes.

What the Numbers Show

The price differential between lump ore and fines remains significant, with lump ore commanding a premium of ₹900 per ton over fines. This reflects the higher grade (65.5% vs 64%) and specific size requirements (10-40mm) of the lump ore product compared to the finer particle size of the fines category.
