Honeywell Aerospace announced Monday that IndiGo selected its avionics, auxiliary power units and aftermarket services for 810 Airbus A320neo-family aircraft in the largest commercial equipment and service agreement in the company's history. The deal expands Honeywell's partnership with India's largest airline and includes weather radar, traffic collision avoidance systems and flight management systems. The company will supply 131-9A auxiliary power units, advanced weather radar, traffic collision avoidance systems, flight management systems and a comprehensive aftermarket program. Honeywell said the package is designed to improve safety, fuel efficiency, operational reliability and fleet performance throughout the aircrafts' service life.
Separately, Honeywell said Aeromexico intends to deploy its Surface Alerts (SURF-A) runway safety technology across more than 100 Boeing 737 NG and 737 MAX aircraft. The software provides real-time cockpit alerts to help pilots avoid runway collisions. Honeywell expects FAA certification to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026 and continue through 2027. The software will be available as an upgrade to Honeywell's Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System and Traffic Collision Avoidance System already installed on Aeromexico's Boeing 737 fleet.
