Harbour Group has acquired Symmons Industries and Symmons Connected LLC, expanding its portfolio of manufacturing and distribution companies. Jeff Fox, chairman and chief executive officer of Harbour Group, announced the acquisition on July 1, 2026. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Symmons, founded in 1939 and based in Braintree, Mass., manufactures specification-grade plumbing products. These include shower systems, faucets, valves, accessories, and repair parts for various end markets. The company also offers smart water management solutions for commercial building applications through its Evolution AI-First software platform.

Tim O'Keeffe, a third-generation member of the ownership family, serves as CEO of Symmons. He stated that Harbour Group's success in the flow control and building products sectors was a deciding factor in the partnership. O'Keeffe believes the acquisition will accelerate strategic growth plans through complementary acquisitions and operational expertise.

Strategic Rationale

Fox expressed confidence in the partnership, noting the O'Keeffe family and Symmons team have built an outstanding business. He pointed to new product launches and growth initiatives currently underway at Symmons. Fox indicated that combining these programs with Harbour Group's support would create opportunities for employees and customers.

O'Keeffe emphasized the importance of selecting a partner to enhance the brand and family legacy. He cited Harbour Group's operational expertise and ability to drive complementary acquisitions as critical enablers for future growth.
