FFAI backs AIxC pivot to robot rentals; RoboShare lands first order
Faraday Future Intelligent Electric Inc. (NASDAQ: FFAI) supports subsidiary AIxC Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: AIXC) in exiting its digital asset strategy to focus on physical AI. AIxC’s RoboShare platform secured its first paid commercial order on August 15, 2026, deploying more than 80 robots. The initial launch targets Los Angeles under a "Ten-City Strategy," featuring a mix of humanoid and quadruped robots for client DU$TY.

Faraday Future Intelligent Electric Inc. (NASDAQ: FFAI) has endorsed a strategic pivot by its majority-owned subsidiary, AIxC Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: AIXC), marking an orderly exit from the latter’s digital asset treasury strategy. The shift redirects AIxC’s operational focus entirely toward physical AI, specifically robot sharing, rental operations, and commercialization through its RoboShare platform.
First Commercial Order Completed
RoboShare, AIxC’s robot-sharing and rental platform, reported completing its first paid commercial order on August 15, 2026. This transaction marks the platform’s transition from development into active commercial operations and initial revenue generation.
The initial deployment involves a fleet of more than 80 robots sourced from FF users, customers, and AIxC’s own user base. These units have been onboarded to RoboShare’s supply pool for commercial deployment. The first project is scheduled for an event in Malibu, California, featuring six robots across three categories:
- One FF Master humanoid robot
- Four Aegis Pro quadruped robots
- One compact Navi quadruped robot
The client for this inaugural deployment is DU$TY, also known as Dusty the Rapper, a Los Angeles-based artist with more than 7.1 million verified Instagram followers. RoboShare will provide customized performance production and content design services for the project, validating its ability to monetize services alongside hardware deployment.
Strategic Expansion and Support
RoboShare has officially launched its "Ten-City Strategy," beginning with market activation in Los Angeles. The platform aims to build an "Uber + Turo" model for robotics, transforming robots from one-time hardware sales into productive assets generating sustainable revenue through rentals and services.
FFAI intends to provide comprehensive support to AIxC across several dimensions:
- Strategic and Compliance: Leveraging FFAI’s "Four-Core Full-Stack AI" ecosystem and "Built in USA" initiatives.
- Product and Technology: Providing access to the EAI Brain, VLA + World Model, Skills and Agent system, and the full-form FF EAI Robot World portfolio.
- Business and Financial: Helping lower barriers to customer adoption and exploring revenue models including rent-to-own programs and customized operations.
- Capital Markets: Supporting AIxC in improving operating fundamentals to unlock capital value associated with physical AI.
What the Numbers Show
The composition of the initial fleet highlights a diversified approach to early commercial validation. By deploying three distinct form factors—humanoid, quadruped, and compact—in a single project, RoboShare is testing multi-robot scenario operations rather than relying on a single product type. This aligns with FFAI’s stated goal of creating a "dual flywheel" where operational data feeds back into product evolution, potentially accelerating the iteration cycle for its robotics portfolio.
How will the revenue recognition model for RoboShare's rental and service fees impact AIxC's quarterly earnings volatility compared to traditional hardware sales?
What specific regulatory or insurance frameworks must be established to support the 'Uber + Turo' robotics model in the initial ten cities?
How might the integration of FFAI's EAI Brain and VLA systems accelerate the iteration cycle for robot capabilities based on data from the Malibu deployment?
