Emcure Pharmaceuticals submitted its Business Responsibility and Sustainability Report (BRSR) for the financial year ending March 31, 2026, to the National Stock Exchange of India Limited and BSE Limited on August 28, 2026.

Waste Management

Total waste generated increased to 6,255.97 metric tonnes from 4,203.32 metric tonnes in FY25. Hazardous waste constituted the majority at 4,438.74 metric tonnes. The company recycled or recovered 3,459.81 metric tonnes of waste, a significant rise from 1,876.97 metric tonnes in the previous year. Waste disposed of via incineration and landfilling totaled 1,092.12 metric tonnes.

Employee Safety and Wellbeing

The workforce comprised 6,667 employees and 2,930 workers as of March 31, 2026. Female representation among permanent employees remained at 9%. The company reported three recordable work-related injuries: two involving employees and one involving workers. No fatalities were recorded. The Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate (LTIFR) was 0.805 for employees and 0.475 for workers.

Spending on employee wellbeing measures accounted for 0.13% of total revenue, down from 0.15% in FY25. All permanent employees and workers were covered by health and accident insurance.

Governance and Related Party Transactions

The report highlighted significant related party transaction exposure. Sales to related parties constituted 36% of total sales, up from 32% in FY25. Investments in related parties made up 98% of total investments. Purchases from related parties remained low at 3% of total purchases.

TÜV Rheinland India Pvt Ltd provided reasonable assurance for the BRSR core indicators and limited assurance for other disclosures. The assurance covered nine manufacturing sites and one corporate office across India.
