Easy Trip Planners Ltd marked the debut of its electric mobility arm, Easy Green Mobility (EMTev), in Bhopal on September 25, 2026. The launch signifies a strategic expansion into sustainable transportation and domestic electric vehicle manufacturing as part of the company's Vision 2030 roadmap.
The rollout involves the deployment of 12-meter electric seater coaches with a seating capacity of 45+D. These vehicles feature an LFP battery offering 423.9 kWh of total energy, a PMSM motor, and air suspension. The buses provide a stated range of up to 350 km and a top speed of up to 100 km/h. Both 12-meter and 13.5-meter models have received type approval.
Manufacturing targets and localisation
The company aims to build capabilities to manufacture 5,000 electric buses annually within the next five years. This target reflects a long-term focus on scaling domestic manufacturing and reducing reliance on imported components through progressive localisation. The initiative is expected to create employment across manufacturing, fleet operations, and service support.
EMTev's strategy encompasses an integrated mobility ecosystem covering vehicle manufacturing, fleet operations, and service support. The program builds on the operating experience of YOLO Bus, which already operates conventional intercity buses across multiple southern Indian markets.
Technology and safety features
The electric buses are equipped with advanced safety systems, including EBS with ESC braking and EHPS steering. Safety and fleet intelligence are central to the operating approach, with camera-based monitoring systems and continuous data monitoring via a centralized control tower. This enables proactive identification of potential issues before deployment.

Rikant Pittie, CEO & Co-Founder of EaseMyTrip, emphasized that building reliable, sustainable mobility infrastructure is essential for supporting economic and tourism growth.
Strategic diversification
Through EMTev, the company is extending its role across the broader tourism infrastructure and transportation ecosystem. The move combines its existing understanding of travel and mobility with opportunities in electric commercial transportation and sustainable infrastructure development. The deployment supports efforts to reduce dependence on fossil fuels by providing zero tailpipe emissions during operation.
