Container Corporation of India has appointed V. Kashiho Sangtam as a Non-Official (Independent) Director on its Board. The appointment is effective from August 26, 2026, for a tenure of three years.

Profile of the New Director

V. Kashiho Sangtam brings over three decades of experience in public administration and governance. He is a retired voluntary officer of the Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC). His professional background includes serving as Block Development Officer and Assistant Director of Rural Development in the Government of Nagaland from 1988 to 2018.

From 2018 to 2023, Sangtam served as the Minister for Soil & Water Conservation, Geology & Mining, and as Chairman of the Nagaland State Minerals Development Corporation (NSMDC). He holds a Bachelor's degree in Arts with majors in Political Science, History, Economics, and English from North Eastern Hill University, awarded in 1983.

The company affirmed that Sangtam is not debarred from holding office by any SEBI order or other authority and has no relationship with other directors.
