Bharat Dynamics has been penalised ₹13,03,900 each by the Bombay Stock Exchange and National Stock Exchange for regulatory non-compliance during the quarter ended June 30, 2026.

The defence manufacturer disclosed the penalties on August 26, 2026, under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. The fines relate to breaches of multiple listing norms including Regulations 17(1), 17(2A), 18(1), 19(1), 20(2)/(2A), and 21(2).

Waiver Application

The company intends to seek a waiver for the levied fines. Bharat Dynamics cites the "impossibility of compliance" as grounds for exemption, noting that the authority to appoint directors rests with the President of India acting through the Ministry of Defence. The board stated it has no role in these appointments.

Financial Impact

Management confirmed that the penalties will not impact the company’s financial position, operations, or other activities. The total liability amounts to ₹26,07,800 inclusive of GST.
