Bajaj Consumer Care Limited reported a 63.9% year-on-year increase in standalone net profit for the quarter ended September 30, 2026 (Q2FY27), reaching ₹70.5 crore compared to ₹43.02 crore in the corresponding period last year. This surge was supported by robust top-line growth and significant margin expansion.

The FMCG major’s performance was underpinned by total revenue from operations rising 25.94% YoY to ₹32,671.94 lakh. Standalone EBITDA jumped 69.7% to ₹82.7 crore, lifting the EBITDA margin to 25.30% from 19.86% YoY. The Board of Directors approved these unaudited financial results on October 14, 2026, following a limited review by statutory auditors Chopra Vimal & Co.

Consolidated Performance Highlights

On a consolidated basis, which reflects the Scheme of Arrangement with Vishal Personal Care Limited, the company reported strong momentum across key metrics. Consolidated net sales grew 27.3% YoY to ₹332.7 crore, while EBITDA expanded 71.0% to ₹83.3 crore. Profit after tax (PAT) rose 66.0% YoY to ₹70.2 crore.

Metric Q2FY27 Q2FY26 Change
Net Sales Value ₹332.7 crore ₹261.4 crore +27.3%
Gross Margin ₹199.2 crore ₹156.1 crore +27.6%
EBITDA ₹83.3 crore ₹48.7 crore +71.0%
Profit After Tax ₹70.2 crore ₹42.3 crore +66.0%

The consolidated gross margin stood at 59.9% of sales, slightly up from 59.7% in Q2FY26. Employee costs remained stable at 10.3% of sales, down from 13.1% in the year-ago quarter, contributing significantly to operating leverage.

Portfolio and Channel Dynamics

The company’s core brand, Almond Drops, continued its robust momentum with domestic business revenue growing over 30% in Q2FY27. This growth was supported by double-digit unit volume growth and the outperformance of Price Point Packs. A new integrated campaign emphasizing the link between hair strength and beauty was launched towards the end of the quarter.

The Growth Portfolio, including coconut-based products, maintained its role as a key engine. Due to deflation in coconut prices, volume growth in this segment significantly outpaced revenue growth. The company also introduced new products such as non-sticky Amla variants and body lotions, piloting them in select markets.

Channel performance showed broad-based strength:

  • General Trade (GT): Delivered mid-twenties YoY growth in Q2, with rural markets edging ahead of urban ones.
  • Organized Trade (OT): Grew at high twenties, outperforming GT, driven by e-commerce and modern trade.
  • International Business: Sustained exceptional growth, significantly ahead of the company average, with strong performances in Nepal, GCC, and Africa.

Project Aarohan Expansion

The company’s distribution expansion initiative, Project Aarohan, has added over 1 lakh outlets and appointed 1,100+ distribution partners over an eight-quarter journey. Phase 3 currently covers Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Punjab, and Gujarat. The next phase, Aarohan 2.0, aims to add approximately 60,000 outlets and 1,000 distribution partners annually, expanding into all states starting from H2FY27.

What the Numbers Show

A key divergence in the data is the relationship between revenue growth and cost management. While consolidated revenue grew by 27.3%, the cost of goods sold rose only 26.8%, allowing gross margins to remain stable despite input cost pressures. Specifically, the Light Liquid Paraffin (LLP) index rose to 152 (from 100 in Q1FY25) due to global freight costs, and Refined Mustard Oil (RMO) hit 155. However, the Copra index, a critical input for the coconut portfolio, declined from its peak of 247 in Q2FY26 to 171 in Q2FY27. This commodity trend, combined with operational efficiency, enabled EBITDA to grow nearly 71% against a 27% revenue increase, highlighting significant operating leverage.

Board Changes and Investor Communications

In addition to approving financial results, the Board made changes to its directorship. Mr. Jitendra Ananda Mahajan was appointed as an Additional Director designated as Non-Executive, Independent Director for a term of five years. Conversely, Mr. K. S. Narayanan resigned as Non-Executive, Independent Director due to personal medical reasons and professional commitments. His resignation also led to his cessation as Chairman of the Stakeholders Relationship Committee and member of the Audit Committee.

Pursuant to Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, the audio recording of the earnings conference call held on October 15, 2026, regarding the Q2FY27 financial results, is available on the Company's website.
