India Cements Reports Rs 8.81 Crore Profit in Q2, Approves Rs 2,014 Crore Investment Plan

Oct 17, 2025India Cements Ltd reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 8.81 crore in the September quarter, marking a turnaround from a net loss of Rs 339.13 crore in the same period last year. Revenue from operations increased 9.31% to Rs 1,117.04 crore. The company's board approved a Rs 2,014 crore investment comprising Rs 1,574 crore for modernisation and Rs 440 crore for capacity enhancement. The capacity expansion will add 2.80 million tonnes to the existing 14.75 million tonnes capacity. Domestic sales volume reached 2.44 million tonnes, up 11.9% quarter-on-quarter, with average capacity utilisation at 65%. Total expenses decreased 13.5% year-on-year to Rs 1,135.64 crore. India Cements became a subsidiary of UltraTech Cement in December 2024. Shares closed at Rs 391.75 on BSE, down 0.58%.
India Cements Capital Limited announced key management personnel changes effective August 27, 2025. Mr. K. Suresh resigned from his position as Chief Financial Officer on August 26, 2025, citing internal restructuring and realignment of roles. The company appointed Mr. S. Pranatharthiharan as the new CFO, who is a qualified Chartered Accountant with extensive finance and accounts experience and has been with the company since 1997, most recently serving as Senior Manager Accounts. Additionally, Mr. K. Suresh was appointed as Company Secretary and Compliance Officer. Mr. K. Suresh is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary with wide managerial experience and has been associated with the company since 2007. The Board of Directors approved these changes based on recommendations from the Nomination and Remuneration Committee during their meeting on August 26, 2025.
