This measure is expected to impact the chemical sector, particularly Oriental Carbon and Chemicals Ltd (OCCL), a key player in the insoluble sulphur market. The duty aims to level the playing field for domestic producers, potentially boosting their market share and affecting pricing dynamics. Tyre manufacturers and related industries may need to adjust their supply chains, possibly favoring domestic suppliers like OCCL.
