Enterprises across Asia Pacific are increasingly integrating Microsoft cloud and AI platforms into their operations to navigate economic uncertainty, evolving regulations and competition, according to a new report by Information Services Group (ISG). The 2026 ISG Provider Lens Microsoft AI and Cloud Ecosystem report highlights a shift from infrastructure modernization to AI-enabled business transformation in Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia and India. Organizations are embedding AI into existing processes to address fragmented data and legacy infrastructure challenges.

Microsoft is supporting this regional adoption with significant capital investments. The company has committed to a $3 billion expansion framework across Asia Pacific and is establishing its largest regional hyperscale data center in Hyderabad, India. These investments aim to support secure cloud architectures that comply with data sovereignty requirements and address the shortage of AI and data engineering talent through training initiatives.

Strategic Integration of Technologies

Organizations are moving away from treating AI adoption as a separate initiative. Instead, they are combining Microsoft cloud, data and AI capabilities to create unified operating environments. This strategy allows employees to automate routine work and access insights for faster decision-making. Service providers play a critical role in helping enterprises embed these technologies into scalable, secure environments designed for long-term use.
