Futurpreneur has announced the selection of 40 young entrepreneurs to represent Canada at the G20 Young Entrepreneurs’ Alliance (G20 YEA) Summit in Vienna, Austria, from September 16–18, 2026. The delegation, chosen through a nationwide process, includes founders from eight provinces and reflects Canada’s diversity, with more than 50% women and over 75% identifying as People of Colour, including 40% Black founders and 5% Indigenous founders. The Summit, hosted by the European Confederation of Young Entrepreneurs (YES for Europe), will convene entrepreneurs, policymakers, and ecosystem leaders from G20 countries to advance collaboration, innovation, and inclusive economic growth.
The 2026 Summit is centered around the theme "Re/Code Europe: The G20 Entrepreneur’s Mandate." Discussions will explore how entrepreneurs can drive resilient, future-ready economies through innovation, sustainability, and global cooperation. Delegates will engage in networking opportunities focused on cross-border partnerships, market expansion, emerging technologies, and equitable opportunities for women, Black, and other founders from equity-deserving communities. The G20 YEA represents over 500,000 young entrepreneurs worldwide and contributes to policies strengthening entrepreneurship and international trade.
Micah Anshan, Senior Director, Partnerships at Futurpreneur and President of the Canadian G20 YEA Delegation, highlighted the delegation's impact. "The entrepreneurs selected for this year’s delegation showcase the innovation, resilience and diversity that define Canada’s entrepreneurial landscape," Anshan said. "These founders are creating impact across sectors ranging from AI, technology and manufacturing to education, health and sustainability."
The 2026 delegation builds on Futurpreneur’s 30-year legacy of supporting young entrepreneurs. The organization has helped over 21,000 entrepreneurs build more than 16,600 businesses, with an 80% survival rate after five years, 27% higher than the national average. The delegation will be co-led by Sidonie Kerbellec, Senior Bilingual Partnerships Specialist and G20 YEA Canadian Sherpa, and Micah Anshan. Futurpreneur acknowledged the support of Global Affairs Canada’s CanExport Associations’ funding program and the Trade Commissioner Services.
The delegation includes entrepreneurs from a wide range of sectors, including professional services, technology, education, manufacturing, sustainability, transportation, and health and wellness. The full list of delegates by province is as follows:
