The company was one of five winners in the Logistics Operations category, recognized for developing solutions to combat freight fraud and double brokering. This achievement highlights the effectiveness of Werner's technology in safeguarding network integrity and carrier operations.

The award specifically honors Werner's Secure Ratecon Protocol, a dual-protection framework integrated into its Werner Bridge carrier platform. This system re-engineered data flow during the load-tendering process to eliminate vulnerabilities. By removing email attachments and enforcing hardware-token multi-factor authentication (MFA), Werner mitigated double-brokering interception risks.

Since deploying the protocol, Werner has recorded zero trailer thefts involving compromised carrier email accounts. This milestone underscores the impact of the company's focus on creating a secure, controlled data environment. The technology and operations teams collaborated to build this framework on top of the existing Werner Bridge platform.

Daragh Mahon, Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Werner Enterprises, attributed the recognition to the combination of technology innovation and operational execution. He emphasized that while carrier vetting remains a baseline, the additional security layers provide necessary trust and peace of mind in the market.
