Varroc Engineering Limited has won the In-Cabin Infotainment & Connected Technology Award at the inaugural ET AutoTech Awards 2026. The recognition highlights the company's VarrocLink platform, a sovereign connectivity ecosystem designed to redefine in-vehicle interactions through deep OEM-centric customisation and seamless integration. This award underscores the company's focus on delivering scalable solutions that address specific challenges within the Indian automotive market.

The VarrocLink platform distinguishes itself through an Asynchronous Architecture that offloads critical tasks, such as high-precision navigation, to the infotainment system's onboard GPS. This approach mitigates safety concerns related to mobile battery drain and GPS reliability in low-connectivity environments. Unlike conventional mirroring solutions that impose high licensing costs and standardised UI constraints, VarrocLink enables manufacturers to develop bespoke OEM-branded UI/UX without relying on third-party frameworks.

Integration and Scalability

VarrocLink is currently being integrated into next-generation models of a major Indian OEM across its 4x4 lifestyle SUV and premium MPV portfolio. The platform is designed to be segment-agnostic and scalable across various vehicle categories, including four-wheelers (ICE and EVs), passenger and commercial vehicles, and multi-axle commercial vehicles. This flexibility allows the technology to bring connected-car capabilities to segments that have traditionally been underserved.

Current and Future Capabilities

The platform currently provides standard features such as music control, call and SMS alerts, and event calendar synchronization. It also offers a 360-degree view of the vehicle on a mobile phone using the onboard surround view system. Looking ahead, VarrocLink is evolving into a full Vehicle Command platform.

Mr. Dhruv Jain, Whole-time Director and CEO, Varroc Business II, stated that the endeavour is to deliver brilliance at scale. He noted that VarrocLink addresses genuine challenges faced by Indian OEMs and drivers, reflecting an approach rooted in local market realities while meeting global performance benchmarks.

Mr. Deepanshu Taumar, Head of Product - ETAuto & Manufacturing, remarked that the quality of submissions at the awards was exceptional. He highlighted that Varroc's entry stood out for its focus on addressing real-world mobility challenges through advanced connected technologies, representing a forward-thinking approach shaping the future of the automotive industry.

Varroc Engineering has reported a steady improvement in its financial performance for FY26, driven by operating leverage and approximately 10% CAGR revenue growth. The company’s Gross Profit for the year stood at ₹31,889 million, while EBITDA reached ₹8,364 million, reflecting a consistent upward trend in profitability over the last four years.

The company’s balance sheet has strengthened over the past few years, resulting in improved debt servicing ability and return ratios. Profit Before Tax (PBT) before exceptional items also showed positive growth, reaching ₹3,814 million in FY26.

Business Segments and Strategy

Revenue for FY26 was primarily driven by the vehicle segment, with two-wheelers and three-wheelers contributing 76% and four-wheelers accounting for 24%. Varroc continues to leverage its global capabilities, with R&D centers in India and China, and manufacturing footprints in India, Romania, Thailand, and Vietnam.

The company is focusing on three mega trends: Safe, Smart, and Sustainable mobility. Its product portfolio includes advanced lighting systems, electronic components, and body solutions. Varroc’s content per vehicle is approximately ₹35,000 for two-wheelers and ₹40,000 for three-wheelers in the electric vehicle segment.

Sustainability Initiatives

Varroc has made significant strides in environmental sustainability. In FY26, 36% of the company’s energy consumption came from renewable sources, generating 78 million units of energy and avoiding 55,380 tonnes of CO2e emissions. The company has also implemented over 90% waste recycling across its plants and achieved Zero Liquid Discharge status.
