Planet Labs Germany has secured a seven-figure award from the Scottish Government’s Agricultural and Rural Economy Directorate to provide AI-enabled satellite monitoring services. Under this one-year agreement, Planet will deliver PlanetScope data and advanced analytics to support Scotland’s Agricultural Reform Route Map, marking a significant step in the country’s transition toward sustainable agricultural practices. The deal was facilitated through Planet reseller Computacenter.

The partnership leverages Planet’s deep archive of Earth observation data and artificial intelligence capabilities to address key environmental challenges in Scotland. The initiative aims to develop sustainable food production systems, increase biodiversity, and reduce carbon emissions.
