Lucid Group, a global leader in healthcare communications and commercialisation, has appointed Eric Muller as its new Chief Executive Officer. The company stated that Muller will lead the next phase of growth for the firm, which focuses on translating complex science into real-world impact.
Rick Sannem, the outgoing CEO and original founder of DiD Agency, will step down from the executive role. He will continue to serve the company as a Strategic Advisor to the Board.
Leadership Transition
The leadership change marks a transition in the company's top management structure. Dr Rod MacKenzie, CMG, Chair of the Lucid Group Board, noted that the move reflects a deliberate step to assemble talent to drive growth while strengthening the ability to translate complex science into impact.
"Our Board is grateful for Rick's vision and entrepreneurial stewardship that built Lucid's culture of delivering client success and pleased that he will continue to support us as we enter our next chapter," said MacKenzie.
Sannem expressed pride in the culture and standard of excellence built at Lucid. "Eric's track record as a hands-on, transformative leader makes him the right person to lead Lucid into its next chapter of growth," he said.
New CEO Priorities
Eric Muller brings more than 25 years of experience in global healthcare commercialisation. Most recently, he served as Group President and Chief Operating Officer of Publicis Health and previously held roles including President of Digitas Health. He began his career at Grey Advertising in New York.
Muller's immediate priorities centre on expanding talent, client partnerships, as well as data and technological capabilities. The company aims to further attract the best people in the industry while building data and AI capability to enable Lucid's science, strategy, and creative efforts.
"Healthcare is entering a new era, driven by extraordinary advances in science, data, and technology," Muller said. "Clients increasingly need a partner that turns complexity into clarity and impact by bringing together scientific expertise, creativity, and strategy, along with the power of data and AI."
