LG Electronics is expanding its commercial laundry market presence with the global launch of the LG Professional Laundry lineup. The new range offers B2B partners across retail, industrial laundry, hospitality, and healthcare sectors an integrated and intelligent 'total solution' designed to enhance operational efficiency. The lineup debuts in Europe this month, with subsequent launches planned for Asia and North America.
The LG Professional Laundry lineup incorporates advanced core technologies, including the Dynamic Ball-Core System, AI Weight Detection, and Dual Inverter HeatPump. These features are engineered to optimize performance, ensure consistent results, and improve resource usage. The lineup supports remote control and system management via the LG LaundryCrew app and Open API, helping to simplify maintenance and daily operations.
Enhanced Efficiency and Performance
The new lineup includes large-capacity washers and dryers designed for high-volume commercial workloads. Based on an IEC standard seven-kilogram load, the LG Professional WasherDryer can complete a full wash and dry cycle in approximately one hour. The all-in-one solution utilizes AI Weight Detection to optimize water and energy consumption based on load size, while the Dual Inverter HeatPump enables energy-efficient, low-temperature drying. A ductless design eliminates the need for ductwork installation and maintenance, thereby improving flexibility and reducing overheads for business owners.
LG's Dynamic Ball-Core System uses a built-in gyro sensor to detect drum imbalances in real time, while a ball balancer stabilizes the load to minimize vibrations. This system allows for stable operation at spin speeds of up to 1,100 RPM, which improves water extraction, reduces drying time, and lowers energy consumption and noise.
Advanced Management and Maintenance
The lineup features a Front Service Ready design that provides easy access to key components, facilitating faster servicing and reduced downtime. Operational challenges are addressed through features such as Heat Exchanger Cleaning Assist and the Tub Clean cycle. The Tub Clean cycle has been verified by Intertek to reduce 99.9999 percent of bacteria in the washer drum under specified test conditions.
Management is streamlined through the ProGuide Control, a circular seven-inch LCD touch display, and the LaundryCrew app. The app enables remote monitoring of equipment status, operational data, and machine settings, while also supporting software updates. Additionally, LG's Open API can be integrated with existing business systems through a separate system development process initiated after product purchase, allowing customers to build tailored platforms.
Strategic Global Expansion
The introduction of the Professional Laundry lineup marks a step in LG's strategy to deliver integrated and scalable solutions for B2B customers. The company has strengthened its presence in North America by supplying laundry solutions to major service providers and is expanding its footprint in Asia through localized business models, including the Laundry Crew franchise operation in Thailand.
"The LG Professional Laundry lineup is designed to enhance the efficiency and cost effectiveness of commercial laundry operations," said Baek Seung-tae, president of the LG Home Appliance Solution Company. "By combining our AI-powered washing and drying technologies with our advanced core tech and comprehensive support services, we are providing our B2B partners with solutions that support business growth."
