Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd has appointed M/s. Bandyopadhyaya Bhaumik & Co. as its Cost Auditor for FY 2026-27. The Board of Directors approved the appointment at its meeting held on 10 Jul 2026. M/s. Bandyopadhyaya Bhaumik & Co., Cost Accountants, is a Kolkata-based firm established in 1994. The firm offers services including Cost Audit, Internal Audit, Management Audit, System Audit, Concurrent Audit, Risk Management, and Gap Analysis. It has completed 32 years in the profession.

The firm currently has seven FCMA partners with extensive experience. It is equipped to handle audit assignments for large-scale enterprises in both the public and private sectors. Its experience spans cost audits of Public Sector Undertakings in sectors such as power, oil & gas, coal, steel, mining, agriculture, paper, jute, textiles, banking, pharma, capital goods manufacturing, and heavy engineering.

Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd has promoted eight officers to the positions of General Manager and Chief General Manager, effective 01 Jul 2026. The Competent Authority approved these promotions to strengthen the senior management structure of the defence PSU. The appointments are in line with Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

Shri Goutam Karmakar and Cdr Satish Chandra Jha have been promoted to the rank of Chief General Manager. Karmakar, a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) graduate with nearly 30 years of experience, has held key leadership roles including Unit-in-Charge of RBD. Jha, a retired Indian Navy officer with over 18 years of service, has been pivotal in restructuring the Engineering Services Department.

Six officers have been elevated to the position of General Manager. The list includes Cdr Pinakesh Das, Ms. Swagata Sen Roy, Mr. Bipu Kumar Das, Cdr Ambuj Kumar, Cdr Ravi Kumar Sharma, and Mr. Jayanta Kumar Sen. These officers bring extensive experience in areas ranging from project management and ship design to quality assurance and corporate planning.
