CVRx, Inc. (NASDAQ: CVRX) has appointed John Landry as its new Chief Financial Officer. Landry will join the commercial-stage medical device company on October 12, 2026, succeeding Jared Oasheim.
Landry assumes the CFO role the day after the company files its Form 10-Q for the quarter ending September 30, 2026. Oasheim will remain with CVRx during a transition period consistent with his previously disclosed agreement.
Leadership Transition
Kevin Hykes, President and CEO of CVRx, stated that Landry brings significant commercial and capital markets experience. Hykes noted that Landry’s background in driving growth while managing expenses is relevant as CVRx scales its Barostim therapy for heart failure patients.
Hykes thanked Oasheim for his contributions since 2015, highlighting his role in leading the company through its initial public offering and building its financial foundation.
Candidate Profile
Landry currently serves as CFO of Nyxoah SA (Euronext Brussels/NASDAQ: NYXH). In that role, he raised several rounds of capital and drove operational efficiencies to fund U.S. commercial expansion.
Prior to Nyxoah, Landry spent 12 years at Vapotherm, Inc. (NYSE: VAPO), most recently as Senior Vice President and CFO. He led Vapotherm’s IPO and built its finance, investor relations, and public company reporting functions. Earlier roles include positions at Salient Surgical Technologies, Bottomline Technologies, Hussey Seating Company, and Coopers & Lybrand.
Landry holds a B.S. in Accountancy from Bentley College, is an inactive CPA, and serves on the board of Liberate Medical, Inc.
Strategic Focus
Landry cited the positive impact of Barostim on patients’ lives as a key draw for the role. Barostim is the first FDA-approved medical technology using neuromodulation to improve symptoms in heart failure patients. It delivers electrical pulses to baroreceptors in the carotid artery wall to restore autonomic nervous system balance.
The device holds FDA Breakthrough Device designation and CE Mark approval for heart failure and resistant hypertension in the European Economic Area.
